![]() We're making it official with a
down-home, rootin' tootin' Northwest party. Our aim is for everyone to
have fun—and a lot of it. This will be one of the greatest days of our
lives primarily because it's the only time we'll have all our
family and friends in a single place—a One Time Only event. So in an
effort
to really make it count, we want to make it an all day (and much of the
night) affair.
Since we're really putting on a glorified family reunion, we're aiming for that kind of cookout/holiday vibe. We've picked a… ahem…non-traditional venue, primarily so we'll have the space and the flexibility to put this together. We've got a barbeque guy manning the smoker and a great Seattle honky-tonk band called Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers singing us in to 50 years of wedded bliss. Also: horseshoes, dominoes, kickball. The wedding is on Vashon Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle and a world away from its high rises and blaring traffic. Nestled amidst 100-foot tall evergreens and spread among several acres, the AYH Ranch Hostel affords us privacy, space and a bonfire pit. With teepees and chuck wagons onsite, the Oklahomans will feel right at home. We hope you all can make it. There's more info in the sidebar to the left, including some ideas on where to stay and what to do while you're in the Emerald City. If you've got any questions at all, drop us a line or call us and we'll try to answer them. We can't wait to see you! Ryan and Anna |
